It's hard to believe but it's 10 years since Bill Gates turned over the position of CEO to Steve Ballmer at Microsoft.
At the time he took over as CEO, Microsoft was still under the threat of being broken up.
Today, in 2010, different challenges face Ballmer. After a decade of lawsuits, mergers, acquisitions, competitive battles and new software development and releases, Ballmer is now trying to meld cloud computing and enterprise.
Some people say that Windows 7 will be Ballmer's greatest legacy, but we'll all have to wait and see.
